I mentioned in my last post that we recently bought a small camper. My buddy has a Burro(same as Scamp) great camper, bunk side is kinda smallish but I've slept on that side (no top bunk) dozens of times and it was fine. Please note that you do not need to lower the stabilizer jacks to go inside your Scamp if it will remain connected to your tow vehicle, such as stopping at a rest stop to get something from the fridge or take a nap.

The owner originally bought the Scamp 5th wheel trailer because - at only 6'8″ wide - it allowed him to travel and park in narrow places. Scamps compact size makes getting into camping spots and storage spots much easier. All trailers with electric brakes will require a brake control mounted in the tow vehicle.

As noted, the modular interior allows this camper to be used as a trailer to haul equipment. Join the thousands of Scamp owners who have logged millions of miles in the ever-popular Scamp 13 foot travel trailer. The connections for the black and grey water tanks are underneath Scamper - black on the left and grey on the right.

As one of the most dependable trailers on the market original Scamp trailers from the 70's are still in use today. Our Necklace is based on the Boler fibreglass travel trailers were introduced in the late 1960's and versions of this very popular moulded fibreglass trailer are still being produced to this day by Scamp, Casita and others.

Backus, Minnesota based Scamp Trailers recently launched an updated website to showcase their 13, 16, and 19 foot fiberglass travel trailers. It is so much fun to be camping with so many other little fiberglass trailers. Make sure you obey posted speed limits, and note that some states have different speed limits for vehicles towing a trailer.

If all tanks were completely full you may add over 400 pounds to the travel weight of the trailer. Scamp campers are available in 13 foot, 16 foot, and 5th wheel 19 foot configurations. The fiberglass means that they are incredibly lightweight, which makes them less of a drag on a long journey and will not take away much from the gas mileage of the vehicle.

To be clear, I know that the Cr-V and Element can't really tow it safely, but the interior is set up in a way that maximizes space. Your Scamp is designed to tow well behind nearly all vehicles, and should be a pleasure to tow. Scamp trailers come in 13, 16, and 19-foot sizes.

Scamp trailers are lightweight fiberglass trailers. The rear dining area converts to a double bed, providing sleeping space for two to three people. Scamp small travel trailers are durable, lightweight and aerodynamic. There are three sizes of Scamp travel trailers - 13', 16' and 19'.

As we begin another year of Scamping, I thought I would add a bit about the mileage we have put on the trailer since we purchased it. I was originally going to keep track of the exact mileage that we pulled the trailer, but I found that doing an estimated mileage worked a little better.

First, some specs: this camper trailer comes with a 30-liter onboard water tank and a hot water system from Truma Combi. Interior looking toward rear. We don't have any room under our benches for storage, so space is pretty limited in the Scamp. If you want a small RV that provides a unique combination of quality workmanship and ease of towing, a Scamp might be the best choice for you.
